John Curulewski was a musician and guitarist best known for his time with the band Styx. He joined the band in 1970 and remained with them until 1975. During his time with Styx, Curulewski played on their first four albums, including their self-titled debut and breakthrough release "The Grand Illusion". However, he left the band in 1975 due to health issues.
After leaving Styx, Curulewski largely retreated from the music industry and lived a private life. He passed away in 1988 at the age of 37. Despite his relatively short tenure with the band, Curulewski made a significant impact on Styx's early sound and contributed to their success in the 1970s.
